I’m the world’s fastest, slow-jogging 10k runner
Lindsey, my father-in-law, and I ran our first 10k at the Provo Freedom Festival on Saturday. Although I ran (ahem, slow-jogged) the entire 6.2 miles, my right leg now feels like jell-o. Nevertheless, I think I’m falling in love with this running business. Regarding the “medal,” I felt silly wearing it because the promoters gave one to all 1125 runners (unique, just like everyone else).

p.s. you guys look so slim and trim!!!!!!!!!!!
I think 99% of people in the US will never run 6.2 miles in their entire life much less all at one time. SO, you should consider finishing a feat unto it self.
With that said, by my book, anything under a 10 minute mile is pretty fast. 9:47 a mile is nothing to be shy about. Congrats.
Nick,
I do chalk this up as a personal accomplishment, but the winner ran the thing in 32 minutes! Incredible.
I don’t know Blake. Not many people get a medal shaped as a foot-it is pretty cool. My mom was so proud of Brant for running the 5K that she wore his medal for him (all day). I’m sure she’d be happy to wear yours. 🙂
Participant!
Good job, man. Keep it up!!
Thanks, Jacki and David.
Dang Gina! Good for you guys. Congrats on the accomplishment, cause it really is one. Trying to find the time to train, actually run the race, and get a babysitter is no easy task. And I am sure the medal just made it all worth it in the end, NICE!
