About me: What you need to know

about

Having something to say is my gift, writing is my passion, and my offline pursuits make it easy to leave a job I love on nights and weekends

Hi, my name is Blake Snow.

I’m a bestselling author, bodacious writer-for-hire, content marketer, and practicing husband and father. When blogging was still cool, I took up keyboarding and became a popular contributor, technology critic, and feature writer to half of the top 20 U.S. media and others. Today, I help fancy publications and Fortune 500 companies tell better stories with insightful reporting, daring words, and explanatory journalism. I do that in three ways:

  1. I sell editorial strategy, custom articles and reports, and ongoing content marketing to said companies, including requests to “make us sound interesting, find our narrative voice, and augment our content marketing.”
  2. I am a speaker-for-hire dishing and training individual teams and companies you know and respect on what 15 years of content marketing have taught me.
  3. I serve as an outside editor-for-hire, helping understaffed marketing or communications teams with story ideation, editorial calendars, writing production, and managing assignments and writers.

When I’m not working, I enjoy staying offline, raising children with my soulmate, singing in a cover band, travel writing, making records, blogging, exercising, trying to visit all seven continents, and cooking. I chase experiences more than paper. I believe people are inherently good. And if you disagree, you’re wrong.

Email is the best way to contact me. If you’ve made it this far, thanks for reading.
