Don’t quit your show: 10 creative ways to share your talents

Getting discovered is way more about showing up consistently than waiting for lightning to strike. Here are 10 proven ways to get eyes on your work.

  1. Pick one main platform and go all in. Don’t scatter your energy. Master a platform or medium and create there consistently.
  2. Show the process, not just the final product. People love behind-the-scenes: sketches, drafts, mistakes, time-lapses, before/after. Process builds connection and trust.
  3. Collaborate with people. Collabs equal shared audiences. Don’t wait to be “big enough” to collab. Work with something near your level and grow together.
  4. Use challenges and prompts. Daily/weekly/monthly challenges and goals give you structure and built-in discoverability.
  5. Tell the story behind your work. Why you made it, what inspired it, what problem it solves. Stories make creativity memorable.
  6. Engage like a human, not a billboard. Comment thoughtfully on other creators’ work. Reply to messages. Be part of the community. This is one of the most underrated growth tools.
  7. Repurpose one idea into many formats. One piece of work can become a reel, a carousel, a tweet, a blog post, a short video, and a newsletter. Work smarter, not harder.
  8. Put your work where opportunities live. Submit to open calls, online galleries, showcases, contests, zines, playlists, or creator platforms. Exposure compounds.
  9. Build a “home base.” A website, portfolio, or link-in-bio page where people can find everything you do. Make it easy to say yes to you.
  10. Keep sharing even when it feels like no one’s watching. Many creators quit right before momentum hits. Discovery is often delayed, not denied.
