Not a complete history, but a good one at that. For me, Scar Tissue, Link Ray, and Muse are standouts.

I can’t stand when guitar guys meticulously replicate the personalized little nuances of guitar riffs that were obviously just the player being laid back and non-technical, for example, his use of the lower note a couple times on Purple Haze.

That said, dude has it going on.

Funny you say that, David. The guitarist in me noticed a few errors he made as well with the few songs that I can play better than him. For example, instead of sliding on Killing in the Name of, you’re suppose to just tap and pull off the next riff to creating a rolling sound instead of sliding one. That said, he can play 95% better than me; pretty impressive.
